If you’re in South Central Mississippi (or if you’re traveling down Hwy. 49), make a quick stop in Magee and visit Mississippi Hippie, which is located right off Highway 49 in a little (bright) blue building. It’s filled with antiques and more, including our newest merchandise! Most of these items arrived from Kenya with the new year and are perfect for spring!
Mississippi Hippie is owned and operated by Alison Clark, who has been a longtime supporter of our ministry. We are so blessed that she opened her retail space to us! You’ll love her store, which is an eclectic mix of antiques and items created by local artisans like Alison! Make it a special day because after you shop, you can walk next door and enjoy a famous Zip Burger, which was voted one of Mississippi’s best burgers!
Mississippi Hippie is located at 405 Pinola Drive in Magee, MS. It’s the bright blue building right next to a Magee landmark – Zip’s Restaurant.
One of our favorite things about Merchant Ship Ministries is getting to know so many wonderful people. Alison Clark of Mississippi Hippie is one of them! She is a lot like the women we work with in Kenya. In addition to being a wife and mother of two, she is a creative entrepreneur who serves her community in so many ways, including as an Upward Cheerleading Coach. Every Saturday morning for the last month or so, she has been cheerfully mentoring young girls then heading to Mississippi Hippie for a day of business. We would love for her to meet our Kenyan friends one day!
Thank you, Alison, for being “like Merchant Ships” and for being part of our ministry!
